WHAT IS WORSHIP LIKE?

Worship at First Baptist is Christ-centered.

Sunday morning services include passionate music, scripture readings, prayers and relevant, Christ-centered preaching.

Sunday morning worship at First Baptist is a time for us to gather as one family to bring praise to God and to build up the body of Christ. The songs are led by a modern worship band and include a mixture of new music and hymns. On occasion, soloists and and our children's choir help to lead in song as well, but worship at First Baptist is always a participative activity.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

First Baptist strives toward an atmosphere of warm, authentic community anchored in God's gracious love and acceptance.

As such, we care much more about you than your wardrobe or fashion sense. We have a wide diversity of dress among our members and friends. Some dress very casually. Others dress "business casual." Still others wear their "Sunday best." Our pastor mixes it up Sunday to Sunday, too. Dress as you feel comfortable. We're just honored to have you as our guest!

WHERE SHOULD I ENTER?

Please park near our main entrance. We have guest parking available.

Once inside, you'll see our guest information desk. Members of our guest services team will be waiting, delighted to welcome you! They will present you with information about First Baptist and will give you a special gift.

Our guest services team will equip you to enjoy your time with us, guiding you toward things like:

WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS?

We want your children to experience and express the gospel of Jesus Christ through several Sunday morning gatherings specifically for them.

Nursery (From birth to 2-years-old)

We have a safe, fun nursery for children from birth through age 2 during our morning worship service and Sunday School. They are conveniently located next to our foyer. A thorough nursery check-in/check-out procedure helps insure security. We also have a pager system to contact parents if necessary.

Pre-K Classes (ages 3-5)

We offer classes for pre-K children during our Sunday School hour.

Children's Worship - "E-Street" (Kindergarten - 3rd Grade)

Although children are always welcome to attend the duration of worship with their parents, we offer an optional children's worship service for children (K-3rd grade) during our 10:00AM worship service. Children are dismissed with our Children's Ministry volunteers just before the sermon.

Children's Sunday School (K - 5th Grade)

At 9:00AM, our children meet for Sunday School in the Educaton building. Need help locating it? Stop by our Welcome Center in the main foyer. We'll walk you over!

Youth Sunday School (6th-12th Grades)

Middle and senior high school students are invited to a weekly Sunday School class at 9:00AM. held on the second level of our Education building. Stop by the Welcome Center for directions!

DO YOU HAVE A SUNDAY CLASS JUST FOR THOSE NEW TO FIRST BAPTIST?

Yes! Membership Matters is our guest oriented Sunday morning gathering led by our Pastor, Stephen Freels.

Membership Matters provides a warm, lively orientation for our guests. This class is structured around FBC's process for making disciples: Begin, Connect, Thrive, Engage. Over six sessions, guests will learn about the overall ministry of First Baptist Church, and get equipped to connect with their new church family!

Do I have to take all six sessions in order?

No. Start and finish when you can!

Completing all six sessions of Membership Matters equips guests to make a decision regarding church membership, but does not obligate them to join. For those led to join First Baptist Church, we will schedule an interview with our pastor.

How do I get registered?

Membership Matters is normally offered on a quarterly basis. Please contact our Administrative Assistant, Marcia Hall, to get registered. We'll get you scheduled for a class right away - maybe even this Sunday!

What to Expect
